I'd like to see travel related companies (airlines, train, automobile, cruise/ship, tour, travel agencies) rated by eco-friendliness. This can include use of alternative fuels, use of renewable energies, eco-friendly investments, etc.

This is a great idea! Perhaps a rating system and a section where people can submit travel experiences/reviews would be helpful. Or maybe even have a featured eco tour or lodging every so often.

Eco tourism starts at home. Seriously, in this economic downturn, one of the most green things you can do is have a "staycation".

Would love to see travel tips based on region and how to minimise your impact while on the road. Good luck!
