I have a problem with what people do after they are done using their old electronics. People, such as myself, who buy eco friendly products need to be conscious about eco damaging electronics that they buy. I would like to direct people to use YouRenew.com to recycle their old electronics that, although they are not produced in an environmental friendly manner, could still be responsibly disposed off. Also, http://www.yourenew.com/ pays people for electronics and also donates to carbonfund.org with every recycling transaction. I strongly recommend you find your old phones and iPods that are collecting dust on your shelves and recycle them on YouRenew.com.

Found an air source heat pump unit that a company have supplied a school in Staffordshire.
From their first test over a one month period, the school projects to to reduce their CO2 output by 24,000 kilos a year.
The unit runs on 13amp electricity, it heats and cools, and takes all its energy from the heat that is outside the house/office/school.
For every Kw a gas boiler uses, it provides 1.1 to 1.3 kw of heat, because it has to burn the gas to provide the heat.
This ECO HP3.2 unit produces 4.5kw of heating or cooling from every 1Kw burnt, because the air source heat pump (same principle as the refridgerator) is finding the heat from the outside of the building (based on the fact there is infact still 'heat' in an ice cube).
There is no outside drainage required, no annual mandatory heating maintenance contracts. It also compies with Part L building regulations.
I believe another poster commented that "Less than half of plastic water bottles are actually recycled which means our landfills are over populated with plastic waste." Besides the fact that these plastic bottles are filling up landfills and floating in the sea, the cost of producing and transporting them is another environmental concern. These plastic bottles are wasting fossil fuels! A simple way you can play a role in helping out the environment, is by getting a whole house water filtration system. One of these systems are really not that expensive, and definitely save you money in the long run. You can be drinking clean, filtered water in your whole house, fill up your own re-usable bottle and save yourself money.
