I have added you as a friend, and it seems that we have similar career ambitions in the fields of environmental sciences and sustainability. I am very interested in the communications aspects of sustainability including (but not limited to): stakeholder engagement strategies, public relations, research/ writing, and environmental journalism. I hope to one day become a sustainability practicioner or consultant in this field. I am living in West Hartford, CT with my wife. I am looking for this type of work in the area because we share a car and I get to work by riding the bus and my bike. We are open to moving in the future because as much as West Hartford is a nice area, we do not see ourselves staying forever. At 12:05pm on September 29, 2008, Audra said…: Hello! I wouldn't necessarily say I have a background in environmental studies, but more of an interest and passion for it. I am always interested in learning more about how I can be live more responsibly and eco-conscious. I am very strict about recycling and product purchasing in my home and have educated my stepson and husband about the benefits! I really think elementary schools should have mandatory environmental education and I mean a whole semester, not one day of a science class. I think it would really help.
